Privacy policy
What this website collects, why, how long it is kept, and how to have it deleted. Written to be read once and understood, not to be defensible in a dispute.
It covers codevert.in and the pages you are reading now. It does not cover the websites we build for clients. Each of those has its own policy, written by whoever owns it.
01Who is responsible
CodeVert, a studio operating from India, decides what happens to the information described below. There is no separate legal department to write to. The people who built this site answer directly.
02What we collect
What we collect
Four things, and nothing you did not either type or do.
And what we do not
- ×Payment card details. This website never asks for them, and no form here takes a payment.
- ×Anything from our admin panel. It is password-protected, excluded from both trackers, and none of its pages report to Google or Meta.
- ×Your data sold to anybody. We have never done it and the business does not work that way.
03Cookies
Cookies, and the two companies that set them
This site sets no cookies of its own. These two do, and this is the whole list.
| Service | Run by | What it is for | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Google Ireland Ltd. | Counts visits and which pages get read, so we know whether anything we write is worth writing. It records a randomly generated id, not your name. | Up to 2 years |
| Meta Pixel | Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. | Tells us which of our Facebook and Instagram adverts led to an enquiry, and lets us show adverts to people who visited but did not get in touch. | Up to 90 days |
Both are advertising and measurement tools, so both count as advertising cookies wherever you live. Neither is used to identify you by name, and neither receives anything you typed into a form.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, both are switched off by default and stay off. Google Analytics is held by Google’s regional consent settings; the Meta Pixel has no regional setting, so it reads your browser’s time zone and withdraws its own consent before it starts. We do not advertise into those countries and there is no banner here to switch them back on.
Everywhere else, including India, both are on, and the three ways to turn them off are below.
04Opting out
How to switch it off
01
In your browser
Block third-party cookies, or turn on tracking protection. Firefox, Safari and Brave block most of this by default already. Nothing on this site breaks if you do.
02
Google's own opt-out
Google publishes a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics on every site, not only this one.

Meta's ad settings
Your Facebook or Instagram account holds the controls for how adverts are targeted to you, including from businesses like ours.
Meta ad preferences ↗05Where it goes
Where it is kept, and who else touches it
Anything you type into a form is stored in a MongoDB Atlas database and read in our admin panel. The site itself runs on Vercel. Those two companies hold the data on our behalf and are not allowed to do anything else with it. Google and Meta receive the page-visit and advert information described above, on their own terms, as independent companies rather than as our contractors.
Servers for these services sit outside India, so your information is processed abroad. Enquiries are kept for three years so we can find a past conversation, then deleted. Free-website applications are kept for two years. Job applications and résumés are kept for one year, so we can come back to you when a role that fits opens. Ask us sooner and they go sooner.

What you can ask us to do
One email is enough. No form, no account, no fee. We reply within thirty days and usually the same week.

07If this changes
If we add a tracker or change what we keep, the table above changes on the same day and the date at the top of this page moves. We will not quietly broaden what we collect and leave the old wording standing.
